Sponsor a Brick

snowy_platform

The recent snows and a bright sunny day, shows off the new platform to fine effect. More funds are required to complete this excellent work. See below for more details.

Phase 1 of the Cambrian Heritage Railways project, to restore the line between Gobowen and Llanyblodwel, is now well underway but we need your help !

The 1860 platform by Oswestry Station Building is now being completely rebuilt with the help of the Future Jobs Fund workforce, with the block wall now completed. Now comes the costly bit with it being faced with the correct brick recommended by the County Conservation Officer.

The surface will also be returned to its original brick finish, bringing the platform back to as close to its original condition as is possible.

We’re now giving you the chance to sponsor one, two, three or any number of the bricks required to get this job completed. Each brick will be individually numbered and will be added to your sponsorship certificate - we’ll also provide you with a map to show you which bricks are yours when you visit us here in Oswestry !

This is a great way to get involved, for as little as £5 per brick, and your support will really make a significant difference.

Click here to enter your details and purchase as many bricks as you feel able to afford.
