The Cambrian WW1 exhibition is open in Oswestry Station Building. Learn about the impact of the conflict on life in Oswestry during 1914-18 and the important contribution that the Cambrian Railways made to the war effort, including those men who served and those who died.
The Department for Transport have come to a decision regarding our application, under the Transport & Works Act 1992, to transfer the Gobowen to Blodwel Railway Branch to Cambrian Heritage Railways Limited. Read their decision in full here.

April 6th 2017 marks the centenary of the death of the next Cambrian Railways Volunteer. Harry Heritage Owen died in England from wounds sustained on the Western Front, and is buried in Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey. His name is mistakenly entered on the memorial as Hugh Henry Owen, another of the fallen, from Caernarfon. His death will be commemorated with an entry in our memorial book and the laying of a ceramic poppy. See here for details of the entry in our book.
